Let me share to you the story of a man made a robot that very skillful. This is the movie made by Indian entitled Robot film by Shankar. In this movie you have lots of lesson you will learned and at the same time it was fun.
Dr. Vaseegaran make a robot named Chitti. Chitti can do whatever commanded by the human. Chitti can drive, cook, dance sing and everything. He is really like a perfect human that can talk straightly. Chitti was made because Dr. Vaseegaran wants to approve by Prof. Bohra his professor in Robotics before, but Prof. Bohra was started to insecure after Vaseegaran introduced to their conference in International Robotic Conference India because he can't accept the fact that he lose from his student and he's better than him by making the robot. Prof. Bohra test Chitti for them to know if it is approval and safe to use but Bohra din not approve it because he said that Chitti cannot control his self enough, maybe it can hurt without knowing it. Bohra said it should be programmed a feelings same as human. So Vaseegaran program him to have a feelings and he didn't failed it. One day, Chitti become a midwife , and everyone witness it. By his achievement Sana the fiance of Dr. Vaseegaran kiss on Chitti's chick because of Chitti programmed to have a feelings Chitti felt a love from Sana. Chitti fall in love with Sana and Chitti cannot accept that Sana never be loved him and just Vaseegaran only. When Vaseegaran knew it he get mad to Chitti until go to the point that he should destroy it. When he destroy this robot prof. Bohra refix it and put Red chip with program to destroy people. With the hatred Chitti to Vaseegaran he force Sana from Vaseegaran in the middle of their wedding event. Chitti started to destroy the City but Vaseegaran solve the problem in the end they get the red chip that cause of beeing a bad robot. Everyone choose to be deactivate the robot for their safety.
My reaction on this movies, well having a perfect robot is a very big achievement to the scientist or developer because we all know it is not easy to make a robot same as human. Aside of its image, also the important is how you program it without any mistakes happen and it should not cause damage. Chitti is a good robot before they programmed him to have feelings. He is just follow the command of its master who made him. But when he started to felt something to Sana everything has change. It's like a human that have an own mind to decision itself. I think for me it is not about the feelings but the important is if you make a robot you should be contented to a simple robot that just follow your command and that's more than enough. If we choose to have a robot same as Chitti time will come that only robot will leave in this earth. We should not tolerate all the technologies here. We should know our limitation of everything we do and everything we have.
